Fixing Tomorrow
A lot of people are more concerned about the quality of life above water, which is understandable, considering that that is where we live. But what about underwater? All those beautiful beaches that people obsessively post pictures of, what if they weren't around anymore? The blue-green, crystal clear waters, turned brown and murky, impossible to see 5 inches in front you. We take advantage of all the plastic, single-use items that we have. Don't get me wrong, plastic is useful, but do we really need it for everything? The other day, my mum wanted to get a iced coffee, to have at the café, but she had to get it in a plastic cup. She ended up changing her order so it didn't come in plastic, but why can't we do stuff like that in a normal, glass cup? And why do we need plastic cutlery if you are ordering takeaway to your own home? As I said earlier, plastic is useful. It can help in places such as a hospital, to make sure you don't spread diseases, but we don't need to rely on it as much as we do.
I'm going to ask you to do something that will sound a little weird, but take a moment to imagine you're a turtle. The other day, someone was on the beach and one of their plastic bags blew away, and they made no effort to retrieve it. You (being a turtle), think you see a jellyfish, so you swim up to eat it. A few days later, you die. I know that that was a bit confronting, sorry about that, but it's true. It happens to lots of sea life. A lot of animals can also get trapped in plastic, or become deformed due to it. I'm not telling you, You're using plastic? Oh my gosh you're so evil! I'm just saying, think about how much single use plastic you are using, and if you need to change it.

Great Job Jamie!!!!, I really liked your post and how it made the reader think, I also really liked the last paragraph where you really got to the reader, I think in the last paragraph if you were more firm about it, it would get to the reader even more. Way to go!!!
