- I really like how sharp and clean many of your shapes are, and the composition is angled in a way that gives the architecture a sense of awe or grandness. The yellow fading to white does feel a bit out of place. I believe you are trying to lighten the building, and perhaps adding in lighter yellows would make the transition into light more natural.
- I like the color palette. I also like the composition since the lower angle adds makes it more interesting. Maybe you could try adding texture in some way?
- I like the perspective you drew this in since it makes for an interesting composition. However, you could improve this by adding more values to create a form for the buildings
- I like the contrast in colour and how defined the lines are
- I liked the colors you used in this. The angle that you used is pretty dynamic too, and creates a nice sense of visual flow.
- I like the colour contrast and the composition and different types of shapes/lines.

- Your lines are so clean! It makes the whole piece look so polished and beautiful. You did a good with the tape technique.
- I really like how you used the masking tape technique to draw fine edges and lines and I also like the composition of the painting as well as the color choice for the building.
- I like your clean lines and contrasting colors, as well as the perspective you chose to do this building in. The two trees that come in front of the building are really nice too.
- I love the bright colours you used. They bring a liveliness to the painting, and contrast well with each other. Your lines are also so neat! The only thing I would say is maybe add more highlights and shadows to increase the three dimensional feel.
- love the color use of the piece and it is an interesting angle. ur lines are sharp and defined and the pop of colors make this really interesting to look at. good job!!
- I love all the strong colors you used, the image really pops. The composition is very strong, and you have really clean and neat lines. This looks great!
Reflection:
While I think the composition is strong, the painting could've been a bit better. The piece took longer than expected, leaving me with not as much time as I would've liked to add details and shadows. The taping process was useful for this painting as I had lots of strong lines throughout, however I did run into some problems that slowed me down. I found that (while probably mostly my fault), the paint would sometimes leak under the tape, marring a section I'd already finished. In fixing this, I often made the lines a bit wonky, resulting in some lines being messy. Another problem I ran into was that occasionally the tape would rip off a section of paint. Though this could be easily fixed, sometimes the paint was a colour I'd mixed by hand, resulting in me having to redo the section, taking up more time.
Overall, the painting was a bit harder than I was expecting, even with the taping technique. I'm not as happy as I'd like with the end result, however I realise that I ran out of time to do all that I wanted to do.
